Communicating with the blog!
Hello everyone,
Unfortunately, time has gotten away from all of us, so the postings have been limited up to now. I personally think it's time to shake things up a bit. :-)
I'm going to send each of you an email that says "check the blog" to make sure you all do that on a regular basis, for those of you that aren't checking just because. If you are having trouble with your password, username, or whatever the case may be...just comment as anonymous. As long as you sign your name, we'll be able to figure out who you are.
So...my prompt for you this week (that I expect you to comment on before the 18th) is this: You are now over 1/2 way through your experience. How are things going?
Are you getting along with your cooperating teachers?
You are probably in full swing solo teaching...elementary folks, what lesson units are you working on....secondary folks, how many class periods are you teaching and what subjects and units are you currently covering?
Please tell us about your classroom and students (using the classroom and student characteristics form from the PPA as a guide).
A comment that was made last semester from student teachers talked about students missing classtime because their families would go on leave.....or a sports team would be traveling....are you seeing that in your classroom/school....how do you approach that?
Ok...that should get you thinking and posting....I expect to have comments from you by Wednesday the 18th.
:-) Work hard, and remember where you came from! :-)
Heidi
